Purpose of the course unit

• To introduce basic behavioral norms, rules and traditions used for substantiation of communication at workplace, in social and private life; • To develop respect to other person, his dignity and self-respect; • To implant habits of correct reactions, listening and polite behavior. • To discuss often arising questions – how to earn respect of other people, how to conduct in difficult situations. • To emphasise that rules of protocol and etiquette are not only a set of formal requirements but also individual attitude enabling to guarantee personal success.

Assessment methods

This course enables to project and create plans for resolution and management of different situations involving aplication of different means; Atendees will get skills to apply existing norms of behvior in different situations and to control own attitude and reactions to various circumstances. Ability to select effectively an appropriate model of behavior, independently to improve personal habits and supplement own knowledge about new norms of behavior. Ability to communicate and cooperate with person or group of people while solving different problems and seeking common solutions at the same time also observing norms of behavior.

Lecture, learning by cooperation, individual and collective work, discussion, problemic teaching, case studies, teaching by simulation.

1. Integrated test: test for checking of theoretical and practical knowledge. 2.Presentation - discussion on case study. 3. Group presentation. 4.Exam (in writing).
